Would some Bulletproof Diet budget ideas be helpful on your journey?
When I started out I was a bit fanatical at trying to follow everything Dave Asprey says in his amazing book, The Bulletproof Diet. Dave gives such detailed explanations in his book I struggled to remember everything. So what I tried to do was remember the top five bulletproof foods and the worst kryptonite foods, for each category.
This way I could be sure to eat the best options and total avoid the worst foods.
Making a life style change comes at a cost!
My family is not on the same eating plan that I follow and this makes meal preparation a challenge not to mention grocery shopping. This journey for me is now going on two years and I have learned a lot along the way. My family is fairly large and our grocery budget reflected that well before I started following my bulletproof plan.
After making the initial investment in many of Dave’s products and getting great results I began to wonder if there was a way to get similar results on a smaller budget. Dave is pretty open about saying, “you can do as little or as much as you decide on this plan.” He also talks about testing things and taking note of how changing things affect you and your body.
Reminding myself of what Dave said I started to try some alternatives.
With the size of my family and the new life style, I have been living I really need to find some costs savings. We have used many different brands of MCT oil and have not noticed any difference what so ever. That is not to say that you won’t notice a difference but like Dave suggests, try things and see.
It doesn’t take a marketing expert to realize that much of what we get from Dave’s books and web sites is, just that, marketing. I don’t fault Dave Asprey in any way for that. My gratitude for Dave’s work is enormous, it has truly changed my life. All I am saying is be smart and maybe a little bit frugal.
However, if you have the money to spend I wholehearted believe that Bulletproof products are of the finest quality you will find anywhere.

Here is a post I wrote last year much earlier in my journey.
